The 1st Trial Court of Guanare (Portuguesa) issued a sentence of 20 years and three months in prison against Carlos Alberto Muñoz Muñoz (34), for having sexually abused an 8-year-old girl, a fact detected on March 23, 2021 inside a house located in the San Isidro farmhouse in the Guanare municipality, Portuguesa state.
The Public Ministry released the information through a statement. The brief specifies that that day the victim told her mother that Muñoz Muñoz, who was her stepfather, took advantage of abusing her while she was absent from the house to do farm work.
After the respective complaint, the man was arrested by officials of the Cicpc and placed at the order of the Public Ministry.
During the trial, representatives of the 6th Prosecutor’s Office of that llanera jurisdiction ratified the accusation against the man for the crime of sexual violence in a continuous degree.
Once the means and organs of evidence presented by the prosecutors in the case had been evaluated, the 1st Trial Court of Guanare handed down the aforementioned sentence against Muñoz Muñoz, who remains confined in the General Command of the regional police.
