Jose Pereirapresident of National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inameh), explained that the high temperatures in this period are normal, due to the solar decline in the country.
“That is, the progressive perpendicular incidence of the sun on our territory, that is why we spend on average from low temperatures between the months of January, February and even March, to high temperatures progressively until September,” he explained during an interview with the portal FuserNews.
In this way, Pereira assured that Venezuela there are no heat waves due to the latitudinal location, “we are always exposed to a large amount of solar radiation,” he said, while noting that “temperatures could reach values between 30 and 35 °C” in the capital region.
