New clashes in the 'Penitentiary' this Saturday

The government spokesman, Carlos Jijón, pointed out that the inmates of pavilion 12 are trying to enter pavilion 7 of the prison.

The Government confirmed that new clashes They would be taking place on the afternoon of this Saturday, November 13, 2021, among inmates inside the Guayas Center for the Deprivation of Liberty N.-1 (‘Litoral Penitentiary‘).

According to the Government spokesman, Carlos Jijón, the clashes they would register between inmates of pavilion 12 and those of 7. The former would be trying to enter the other space (pavilion 7) to attack its occupants.

This occurs while the Executive conducts a Security Committee in the Samborondón Ecu911 regarding the clashes previous events that occurred between November 12 and 13, which concluded with 68 inmates killed and 25 injured, according to the latest balance of the Prosecutor’s Office.
