What happened in San Lázaro with Paolo Salerno?
Paolo Salerno participated in the electrical reform forums, whose objective was to listen to businessmen, academics, experts and officials about the pros and cons of the electricity reform proposed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
After the Open Parliament that took place between January and February of this year, Salerno offered external advice to the PRD Parliamentary Group and was with them during the discussion of the opinion of the United Commissions on Energy and Constitutional Points.
Last Monday Salerno entered the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies, where the committee vote was transferred and he was together with the deputy Edna Díaz of the PRD, explaining issues about “energy transition”, according to the adviser in an interview with Expansion.
According to the videos that circulate and Salerno himself, the deputy of Morena, Leonel Godoy, upon noticing his presence asked the president of the Board of Directors for the microphone, that Paolo Salerno leave the plenary, or what he does without saying a word .
Minutes later, Morena accused Salerno of being an opposition lobbyist and openly participating in plenary sessions.
This Tuesday, on her Twitter account, Morena shared a photo in which Salerno is seen among the seats of the Chamber of Deputies.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador joined the criticism, in his conference this morning, pointing out that “blatantly” he had gone to the headquarters of the deputies as “intermediary, a kind of coyote of companies, of foreign companies that do not want the constitutional reform” that is proposed in electrical matters.
“It was shown that the man is Italian and that he works for a foreign company that has business in the electrical industry of the country, of Mexico, a foreign company,” assured the president.
The company Enel disbands
Hours later, through a statement, the company Enel Green Power Mexico disclaimed having any relationship with Paolo Salerno and, therefore, denied that he was his lobbyist in the discussion on the electricity reform.
“In relation to the recent events and statements that have been taken up in the media and social networks, Enel Green Power México informs that it has no relationship with Dr. Paolo Salerno, nor as an employee, partner or provider of lobbying services” , reported the company.
