Both at the entrances and in the area of the rivers that were originally set aside for vacationers, members of policethe Army, Civil Defense and the Red Cross prevent people from entering the closed places, due to changes in weather conditions.
The civil governor, Cristiana Rodríguez, stated that the provision seeks to prevent unfortunate situations both in Sánchez Ramírez and in other provinces of the country that are on green alert, due to possible overflows of rivers and streams.
He indicated that, in all the hospitals of the public network here in Cotuí, the number of medical and paramedical personnel has been increased, with the aim of providing assistance to the population in the remaining days of this Holy Week.
The provision also prohibits vacationers from entering the waters of the Hatillo dam, due to the depth of its waters and the danger for those who try to take a bath in said reservoir located in the western area of Cotuí.
After noon, the authorities and relief agencies had not reported unfortunate situations and remain hopeful that this trend will continue from today until Easter Sunday in this area of the country.
