Organized by the National Center for Concert Music, attached to the Cuban Institute of Music, the Guitar Festival in Havana presented on its second day a recital starring students from the University of the Arts and the Concordes duo, from the province from Cienfuegos.
In the “Guitarra en dos mundos” space, Abel Acosta, Yalit González, Pancho Amat, Eduardo Sosa, Pedro Beritán, Augusto Blanca and Pepe Ordaz performed in the gardens of the Institute of Music.
The meeting had the special performance of maestro Jesús Ortega remembering the life and work of Ñico Rojas and César Portillo de la Luz on the centenary of their birth, as well as the half century of the founding of the Nueva Trova Movement.

The Havana Guitar Festival takes place until Sunday in the concert halls of the Office of the City Historian (Paula Church and the Minor Basilica of the San Francisco de Asís Convent), the José Martí National Library, the headquarters of the Cuban Institute of Music and several community cultural centers.
In addition to a wide range of soloists, among which the maestro Joaquín Clerch and the German guitarist Julia Trintschuk stand out, there are performances by Sonatas Habaneras, the Ensemble Solistas de La Habana and the Havana Chamber Orchestra under the direction of the teacher Daiana Garcia.
