Upon arrival at the port, the body of Freddy Eusebio Rincón Valencia was received with flowers and with soccer ball-type bombs by the Buenaventura Volunteer Fire Department.
After the reception, the coffin was loaded onto a fire truck where, in the middle of a caravan, Hundreds of residents expressed their emotion with welcome banners, dressed in the tricolor shirt and with applause for the memory of the one who gave them, not only sporting joys, but also inspiration as a society.
According to the mayor of Buenaventura, Víctor Hugo Vidal, the caravan with the body of the former player toured the city where he was born.

The local president also announced that a coliseum that is recovering its administration will be named the Freddy Eusebio Rincón Valencia Coliseum, in honor of the Colombian soccer star.
After a tour of the sports center in the La Independencia neighborhood, the body of the ‘Colossus’ arrived at the Roberto Lozano Batall Coliseuma, where, at 10 p.m., an act will be held paraliturgical, which is basically a non-liturgical religious act, which is common in the peaceful culture.
“For us the spiritual part is very important, that is why Freddy’s body will be veiled, at night, with his entire community in the Coliseum,” said the Mayor of the port.
