The Buenos Aires Ministry of Health began applying this Thursday the second booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to health personnel, people over 50 years of age, people over 12 years of age with immunocompromise, security forces and teachers.
This fourth application of anticovid vaccines is inoculated to those who have the complete vaccination schedule and 4 months have passed since they received the first booster, Salud recalled.
As agreed in the Federal Council of Health, The health authorities of the 24 jurisdictions of the country arranged to advance in the application of the second reinforcement of the vaccine after the recommendation of the experts who make up the National Immunization Commission (Conain) and who advise the national government.

According to Health, until this Thursday it has been inoculated with first doses to 15,913,477 people, with second doses to 14,368,488 and with third doses or booster dose to 7,854,004 people, so it has more than 95% of its population immunized against the coronavirus.
In the province of Buenos Aires, vaccination in the first and second doses is free and federal for people over 3 years of age, the third for all people over 12 years of age and the fourth for immunocompromised people and people over 50 with two doses of the Chinese vaccine.
