The Corps of Criminal and Criminalistic Scientific Investigations (CICPC) rescued the kidnapping victim Ricardo García, as reported by the Minister of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace A/J Remigio Ceballos Ichaso through a message via Twitter.
The also sectoral vice president for Citizen Security explained that the rescue was carried out by commissions from the Anti-Kidnapping Division, the Anti-Robbery Division and the Intelligence Division of the CICPC.
In this sense, he assured that the crime was perpetrated by a group of kidnappers who have been identified and captured almost in their entirety. One of the criminals is undocumented.
In addition, he specified that during the operation one of the members was “neutralized through the progressive use of force, being injured and being transferred to the care center where he died,” refers to a press release from the AVN portal.
“We continue the fight to put an end to these mafias that violate the human rights of people and we will not rest until we completely eradicate this scourge and those who attempt this type of action will be beaten without contemplation to bring them to justice CICPC”, Ceballos pointed out.
García, 74 years old, had been in captivity since January 31 of this year, a condition in which he remained for 72 days. He was released during a special operation carried out at night in the town of Mariche, Miranda state.
