Research on the assassination of the mayor of La Mar province, Wilder Manyavilca Silva, released new details on the ambush suffered by the late burgomaster. The work of the Ayna – San Francisco Corporate Provincial Criminal Prosecutor’s Office, Ayacucho region, disclosed the circumstances in which the crime occurred.

According to tax information, the incident occurred today (November 12) at approximately 10:11 am, when the van that was attacked was traveling along the Ayna – Santa Rosa highway, a few minutes from reaching the town of Las Palmas.
It was known that Wilder Manyavilca Silva was traveling as a co-pilot of the unit with a BHD-840 license plate. Dunia Bustíos Quispe, wife of the mayor; Fredy Raúl Navarro Enríquez, image chief of the commune; and Rolando Guillén Flores, driver.

Regarding the attack, the Prosecutor’s Office indicated that said unit stopped before the intervention of three vehicles: a linear red motorcycle, a gray truck and another white. Later, some subjects fired up to 13 shots at the municipal van.
The worst part of the attack was carried out by Manyavilca Silva, who died a few minutes later, while his wife, Dunia Bustíos Quispe, arrived at the San Francisco hospital alive, but unfortunately died after almost two hours of agony.
Likewise, Guillén Flores, with an injury to the thumb of his left hand, and Navarro Enríquez, with an injury at the level of the right eyebrow (he is currently hospitalized) were injured.
Among the procedures carried out jointly with the National Police of Peru are the removal of corpses, autopsies of law, inspection of the crime scene, collection of evidence (13 caps and firearm), verification of the vehicle by a ballistic expert , reception and sealing of the vehicle, interview with the three surviving occupants, and other actions of a reserved nature.
