Truckers accuse citizens of being “cowards”

Truckers accuse citizens of being “cowards”

Roberto Almirón, head of the Federation of Autonomous Carriers of Paraguay, warned that if the Chamber of Deputies sanctions and the Executive promulgates a bill that establishes subsidies for private fuel emblems for US$ 100 million, they will carry out a total strike in the routes.

“We remain firm in our position of not lending. Many politicians like Pedro Alliana, president of the Deputies, are having the privilege that no one else has. If you go to Petropar they don’t give you credits. Alliana has a debt of G. 1,800 million with Petropar. That already comes from the era of Cartes. So it is unknown how many millions this man currently owes to the Paraguayan state, ”he questioned during an interview with 730 AM.

When asked about the inconvenience to third parties caused by their mobilizations, the leader pointed out that the fight must be for the entire country and not just theirs.

“We are suffering because we are useless and cowardly. Through social networks we are not going to solve our problems. We are going very badly and we cannot continue in these conditions. No one goes out to defend their rights, ”she stressed.

He then guaranteed the circulation of trucks transporting essential food.

NO MORE PRIVILEGED

Almirón pointed out that they will only allow new indebtedness if they are invested in things necessary for the country.

“Here we do not want more debts in the name of truckers or in the name of anyone. We want to be comptrollers. If there will be loans that are only to fix impassable roads, schools and colleges that are collapsing, supplies for hospitals, that is why we want loans, not to give private emblems to entrepreneurs, ”he pointed out.

He questioned that people use their power to enrich themselves with people’s money.

“His government is over and we will pay the debt. They do what they want. It is time to change, we are no longer in a position to distribute money. We do not have institutions in conditions such as Health and Education”, he pointed out.

According to what was resolved last Friday in Ciudad del Este, the 35 associations gave their approval to return to the routes. It is about 60 thousand trucks. Closures will take place across the country.

“We have already talked a lot with the government. Nobody wants to stand on the street. We spoke with ministers, president of Petropar, but we did not find any solution. They say they don’t agree with the loan, but their legislators approve. We no longer understand what is happening, ”he concluded.
