Santo Domingo .- Unscrupulous attackers this afternoon attacked a large contingent of the National Police that was escorting the vehicles that were transporting the personnel of the company CODEMOM and SERVINCA, of the AES DOMINICANA project.
Unknown persons stoned one of the buses with military personnel from CIUTRAN (Ciudad Tranquila), on the outskirts of the Mega Puerto DP world, in Boca Chica.
This caused slight dents in the bus and one of the agents of the TOPPO motorized unit was hit in the chest, without causing serious physical damage since he was protected with a bulletproof vest.
Previous aggression
It is recalled that last Monday the bus carrying employees working on the construction of a new storage tank for the company was stoned by unscrupulous individuals.
Through a statement, the company indicated that the Police are aware that in recent days there have been protests against the company led by former workers who were fired for misconduct.
The attack occurred a few hours after the Workers’ Union of the Municipality of Boca Chica held a protest at the entrance to the AES Andrés facilities, which began at 6:00 in the morning and lasted until noon.
AES uses the services of the subcontracting company named POSCO and of Korean origin, which is in charge of the recruitment and construction work of a new natural gas tank.
The union members demand that the subcontractor executives who are in charge of the construction of the natural gas storage system of AES Andrés, that the company use 80% of the workforce with employees from Boca Chica.
Meanwhile, the spokesman for the National Police, Colonel Diego Pesqueira, reported that the attack on one of the buses belonging to the AES Dominicana company is being investigated.
