Get your bike ready: this Holy Thursday there will be a cycle path in Bogotá

The District Institute of Recreation and Sports, IDRD, announced that during Holy Week in the city of Bogotá there will be a bike lane on Holy Thursday and Sunday, during their normal hours, that is, from 7 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon.

It is important to note that andl Good Friday the bike lane will not work.

“During Holy Week, the Ciclovía will be at the service of Bogota citizens with its 127.7 kilometers of route, from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sundays, it will also work on Thursday the 14th. It should be remembered that it will not be in operation on Friday the 15th of April,” tweeted IDRD.

In addition, Blanca Durán, director of the IDRD, indicated that “this Holy Week the Institute will have the city parks, the Ciclovía, Recreovía, the Bicycle School and much more at the service of citizens; so that they can enjoy as a family, get active and bet on sports and recreation”.

On the other hand, the District Institute of Recreation and Sports pointed out that other plans can be made in the city, since Bogotá has more than 5,200 parks “for physical activity, sports, healthy recreation and betting on mental health through exercise; all will be open to the public during this week.”
