The Spanish Civil Guard and Interpol arrested a man of Bolivian origin, resident in the city of Bilbao (north), when he was going to flee to Panama, after being convicted of sexual crimes against his daughter.
The detainee had a sentence of 12 years in prison for various crimes against the freedom and sexual indemnity of his youngest daughter, committed over the years.
The Civil Guard received information that the man was trying to flee and verified that he had boarded a flight from Bilbao to Amsterdam, where he planned to make a stopover to reach his final destination in Panama.

At that time, an International Arrest Warrant was issued for the convicted person, which was transferred to the body for coordination and communication between Member States of the European Union (SIRENE) and Interpol was contacted.
The escapee was located at the Tocumen airport (Panama), where he was not allowed to enter, being returned to the Amsterdam airport, where he was finally arrested by Interpol agents.
Subsequently, he was placed at the disposal of the Spanish judicial authorities, who ordered his immediate entry into prison.
