The daughter of the political prisoner Tamara Dávila turns six years old this April 12 and will not be able to celebrate it with her mother, because the activist remains captive in the cells of the Evaristo Vásquez Police Complex, better known as the “New Chipote”. The Ortega regime has denied for ten months that Dávila has communication with her daughter.
«On April 12, 2016 at 10 pm my granddaughter was born. Since that day she has filled our existence with light and love. Today, when she is 6 years old, she faces the greatest of her absences: she cannot hug or celebrate with her mother,” lamented Josefina Vijil, mother of Tamara Dávila, through her account on Twitter.
Tamara Dávila, a member of the Unión Democrática Renovadora (Unamos), has repeatedly asked that her daughter be allowed at least one phone call, but her request is never taken into account.

Also, the relatives of the prisoner of conscience have requested in different ways the slightest communication between Tamara and the minor, however the Ortega regime has denied this demand.
The political prisoner, this April 12 turns 10 months imprisoned in torture and inhumane conditions. The opponent was arbitrarily detained on June 12, 2021. The Nicaraguan dictatorship decided to imprison Dávila for allegedly violating Law 1055 or Sovereignty Law. He accuses her of “conspiracy to undermine national integrity” and “treason against the country.”
“Exactly 10 months ago, he hugged his mother for the last time, on June 12, 2021, when more than 60 police officers raided his house in his presence and turned his life upside down,” Vijil stressed.
«Last night he asked me, “Abu, what if my mom doesn’t recognize me when she comes back?” I assured her that her mom will ALWAYS recognize and love her and we listened to the Drexler song together,” she added.
Ana Lucía Álvarez Vijil, sister of the political prisoner, previously declared that this constant refusal represents a “double violation: her right (Tamara Dávila) to see her daughter and the right of the girl to be able to grow up with the communication of her mom.
In communication with Article 66 Álvarez denounced the daily psychological torture suffered by his sister. In her interrogations, the Ortega operators, with a clear desire to torment her, “tell her that she is a bad mother who left her daughter abandoned for joining the protests.”
On March 3, Tamara Dávila was sentenced to eight years in prison, for allegedly “conspiring to undermine national integrity.” The verdict was handed down by the Fifth Judge of the Criminal Trial District, Félix Ernesto Salmerón Moreno.

The political prisoner was tried together with the candidates for the Presidency Arturo Cruz, Juan Sebastián Chamorro and Félix Maradiaga, as well as the opposition leaders José Pallais and José Adán Aguerri and the leader of the Blue and White National Unity (Unab) Violeta Granera .
The opposition leader, at the end of the seven-day marathon trial in Chipote, reiterated His innocence and said that his “only “crime” has been to exercise my right to defend rights and denounce injustices. That is why I have been persecuted and illegally detained.”
Tamara Dávila demanded that the Ortega justice system allow her to see her daughter and communicate with her regularly, that the isolation of all political prisoners cease, and that they put an end to psychological torture.
«I am in such isolation, that it was on Tuesday the 15th (February), when the trial began, the first time in more than eight months that I ate with someone. This is torture, I demand that my rights be restored », stressed the hostage of conscience, through the message that her family spread on social networks.
