A shooting occurred this Tuesday morning in the Metro in the New York has left at least 13 injured in the Brooklyn area.
Around 8:30 a.m., police received a call to attend the 36th Street station, where the D, N and R lines pass through the Sunset Park neighborhood, according to a police department spokesperson quoted by New York Times.
According to the New York City Fire Department, “several unexploded devices” were found at the scene, but no additional details have been released so far.
Preliminary information identifies the suspect as a man wearing a construction vest and wearing a gas mask. He fled.
A police source said the victims were between teenagers and middle-aged people.
By noon, 16 people were reported with gunshot wounds, 5 serious but stable. All were expected to survive.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
