The Mexican bottler and retailer FEMSA announced Tuesday that its US subsidiary Envoy Solutions has reached an agreement to acquire independent distributor Sigma Supply in that country, for an undisclosed amount.
FEMSA said the acquisition is “another step” in its strategy to build a national distribution platform in USA. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of the year, he added.
“Sigma Supply will add important capabilities in the distribution of packaging materials, solutions and services, and at the same time will expand Envoy’s presence to the state of Texas, also strengthening its presence in the South and the Mid-Atlantic region,” said the Mexican company in a reported to the local stock exchange.
Sigma Supply operates 18 Distribution centersFEMSA said.
