Covid-19 daily report: 1,478 new infections, 13 deaths and positivity reaches 4.01%

The Ministry of Health (Minsal) published this Tuesday morning the daily report on the situation of the pandemic in the country. The portfolio reported 1,478 infections by Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, 13 deaths from causes associated with the disease and a positivity of 4.01%.

Of the total cases, 895 correspond to symptomatic people and 162 do not present symptoms. In addition, 421 Positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.

The total number of people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the country reaches 3,515,878. Of that total, 12,364 patients are in the active stage. The recovered cases are 3,448,188.

The variation of new confirmed cases at the national level is -29% and -58% for the comparison of seven and 14 days, respectively. Meanwhile, 15 regions decrease their cases in the last seven days and 16 do so in the last two weeks.

Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the DEIS, in the last 24 hours there were 13 deaths from causes associated with COVID-19. The total number of deaths amounts to 57,094 in the country.

Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, the results of 31,374 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported yesterday, reaching a total of 36,191,093 analyzed nationwide to date. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 4.01% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 3.58%.

With regard to health residences, there are 32 accommodation facilities, with a total of 3,013 beds. The actual occupation at the national level is 26%, leaving a total of 1,851 beds available for use.
