The Petrobras People Committee considered that José Mauro Ferreira Coelho fulfills all the requirements to occupy the company’s presidency. Meeting yesterday (11), the group assessed that there is nothing to prevent the election of Coelho at the company’s Ordinary General Meeting, scheduled for tomorrow (13).
Once elected, José Mauro Coelho will still have his name submitted to the company’s Board of Directors, where he will need to be approved.
At yesterday’s meeting, the committee also evaluated the name of Eduardo Karrer to join the Board of Directors and considered that he meets all the requirements for the role.
José Mauro Ferreira Coelho was nominated for the presidency of Petrobras last week, after Adriano Pires, initially named to replace Joaquim Luna e Silva, resigned from the position.
