Emilio Useche requested that the eventual primaries that are held to choose the only candidate be open and there are no “alcabalas”
The political scientist and deputy national coordinator of the UPP 89 party, Emilio Useche, criticized this Monday, April 11, that the parties of some sectors of the opposition have become “alcabalas” that prevent broad participation in the processes that are the responsibility of all those who oppose the administration of Nicolás Maduro, such as the primaries to choose the unitary candidate for the 2024 presidential elections.
Useche explained that there is a five-point plan proposed by his political organization, among which is the need for recovery and immediate social action, where the active forces of the country are allowed to join, as well as holding these primary elections “that are open, with electoral bases that are legitimized, with a commission of facilitators and notables that are referents of the country and help with the process.
«The primaries want to be kidnapped by the same as always. We ask that they open the door to society because it is up to us to participate and decide who will be the candidate of the sector that opposes Nicolás Maduro », he commented in an interview granted to Globovisión.

Emilio Useche also stressed how essential it is to reflect and debate about the unitary candidate who should represent the opposition in these primaries, suggesting that he should have great capacity, be honest and have knowledge that allows him to build a multidisciplinary team to help him. to manage the country’s exit from the crisis.
He pointed out that a letter was sent to the Norwegian delegation when the negotiating table was set up in Mexico -today unilaterally suspended by Maduro- in which it was stated that it was important to consider that a ballot process be installed in Venezuela in the elections and order the electoral circumscription of the more than six million of our nationals who are outside the country.
He insisted that the “greatest cancer” of the current government is the corruption that prevails within the public administration.
