Cuba presents business opportunities at Argentine appointment

Speaking at the event, which was attended by 30 Argentine companies and six invited countries, the Minister of Tourism for the Southern Cone of the Cuban embassy, ​​Janet Ayala, highlighted the benefits of her country and highlighted that they value several attractions that They range from its majestic spas and its rich heritage tradition to the safety of the destination and the warmth and hospitality of its population.

After highlighting that the island is getting ready to reopen its borders next Monday, Ayala delved into the portfolio of opportunities for next year, made up of 106 projects, 27 in the joint venture modality and 65 in the hotel management and marketing contract. among others.

Likewise, he highlighted the incorporation of business models in brand franchise contracts of recognized international prestige and leasing contracts for tourist facilities, one of the novelties that is incorporated into the portfolio of opportunities.

For her part, the Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Cuban embassy, ​​Aniurka Ortiz, referred to the second FeCuba business forum, whose convocation will be open until November 25, which brings several particularities on board and will have an important space for Cubans residents abroad with business interests in their nation.

Ortiz said that the island works to promote its exportable products such as rum, tacabo, and crustaceans, but also to develop non-traditional products so that they can go to other markets.

After noting that in the particular case of Argentina, work is being done to locate tropical fruits and non-traditional rums, he stressed that the main areas of interest are the agri-food, biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, among others, and there are possibilities for this nation’s investments in Cuba have a relevant weight.

On the other hand, it meant that trade with this South American country exceeds 250 million dollars and said that they will continue working to maintain the location of the products and promote commercial exchange.

He also recalled that the island faces a strong economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States and intensified with the pandemic, and the business community works in important sectors with the aim of establishing a long-term plan of social and economic development.
