A strong hail falls in La Paz and alarms the neighbors

A strong hail fell in much of the city of La Paz on Thursday night. Neighbors from various areas of the La Paz city were alarmed by the storm and in some neighborhoods the sewers were flooded.

Images that were shared on social networks, from different parts of the city, show that the storm began around 7:00 p.m.

The hailstorm also reached part of Arce Avenue, in the center of La Paz; Irpavi and Alto Obrajes, in the South zone, and Villa San Antonio.

In Alto Obrajes, a thick layer of hail covered streets and parks in the area in about 10 minutes. The scenario was similar in Villa San Antonio, where after a light drizzle fell.

Neighbors shared video and images of the phenomenon on social networks, some of them reported strong lightning.
