The Minister of Productive Development and Land Remy Gonzáles met this Sunday with the cane growers and part of the bench of deputies and senators to deal with the issue of free exports and access to favorable conditions for the sector.
The authority reached an agreement with the producers in which commits to participate in the planning commission created this Saturday and annul Supreme Decree 4680what regulates exports of corn, sorghum and sugar through internal supply certificates.
For its part, the cañeros undertake to lift the pressure measuresmainly the ‘tractorazo’ announced for this Tuesday.
This was confirmed the president of the Union Cañeros Guabirá, Alcides Córdoba, who was one of the signatories of the agreement, who also clarified that the determination to lift the measures will be officially communicated tomorrow to the institutions of the productive sector.
“The cPlanning omission is going to be what, from now on, will govern the future of the sugarcane agro-industrial sector, that is, how many tons of cane are we going to grind, how much sugar is going to be produced for the domestic market and how much to export . We estimate that, until the end of the month, the Government will annul decree 4680which is affecting us so much,” said Córdoba.
Part of the compromise states that the authority undertakes to manage the credits that the producers have requested.
Minister Gonzáles assured that the planning committee will recommend the necessary actions and regulatory adjustments to continue guaranteeing the supply of sugar in the domestic market, price stability, and will determine the export volume based on the harvest and production plans.
