From the Departmental Health Service (Headquarters) of Santa Cruz it was reported that this Sunday the positivity rate is 2% and that only 2 municipalities report cases of the virus: Santa Cruz de la Sierra with 13 and Warnes with 1 new contagion.
No deaths from the disease were recorded on the day. The departmental epidemiological report highlights that 99 people managed to overcome the disease and are now considered recovered. Moreover, in the rooms of the Intensive Care Units (ICU) there are 26 people fighting for their lives and 14 of them are attached to an artificial respirator.
These figures are significantly lower than those reported at the beginning of the year, when there was a saturation of the ICUs in the Hospitals.
Despite the softening of infections, the departmental authorities ask the population maintain biosecurity measures and comply with the vaccination schedule established to deal with Covid-19.
This Sunday it was done immunize 495 people from the Department.
