In order to execute the activities related to the electoral process of May 15 and 22 In the four provinces of the Tacna region, the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) through the Tacna Regional Coordination Office (ORC), began its activities in 19 districts.

There are 19 coordinators who traveled to the districts of Ilabaya, Locumba and Ite in the province of Jorge Basadre, Estique, Estique Pampa, Héroes Albarracín, Sitajara, Susapaya, Tarata and Ticaco in the province of Tarata, Candarave, Cairani, Camilaca and Huanuara in the province of Candarave, as well as Tacna, Pocollay, Gregorio Albarracín Lanchipa, Ciudad Nueva and Alto de la Alianza in the province of Tacna.
They will set up an office in each district
Orestes Arpasi, manager of the ORC Tacna, indicated that the designation of the district coordinators is carried out according to the established schedule and that one of the first activities will be the installation of an office that will function as the main headquarters in the assigned district, in order to to assist and provide information to the affiliates of the political organizations that will participate in the internal elections next May.

Within the functions of the district coordinators, it is to verify the polling places, distribute dissemination and training material, monitor the conditioning of the polling places, and other activities that comprise the execution of the electoral process.
Two ways to choose candidates
The 2022 internal elections will be held on May 15 and 22. There will be two modalities (direct and indirect) to elect the candidates who will participate in the Regional and Municipal Elections on October 2.
Directly, on May 15, affiliates will elect their candidates for their political organization in the 2022 Regional Elections. On May 15, using the second modality, affiliates will elect delegates, the same that, a week later, on May 22, they will choose their candidates for the subnational elections.
