Will Boca Chica's flyover be ready for Easter 2022?

Constructora Rizek concluded on Thursday night the asphalting of the elevated road that it is building in Andrés, Boca Chica, so it is ready to meet the Government’s goal that the work will come into operation this Easter.

The purpose of the Ministry of Public Works is that the elevated open to the public to decongest traffic, and then close it, in order to continue with the rest of the work, such as the installation of joints, railings and other finishes, all according to a source of Free Journal.

The complete work includes a marginal one, to ensure that vehicles have an express route to the Eastern region through the Highway of the Americas, without affecting local traffic. This would be inaugurated at the end of this year 2022, according to the construction company’s calendar.

Putting the overpass into service is in the plans of the Minister of Public Works, Deligne Ascención, another source from the institution has confirmed.

Minister Ascención is expected to issue an official statement announcing the entry into service of the overpass in the coming days.
