“We deputies do not usually get up early”

“We deputies don’t usually get up early,” Ramírez said in dialogue with the media this Friday at the headquarters of the National Congress, according to radio 800 AM.

This peculiar phrase was launched when he was consulted on why the extraordinary session was convened for such an early schedule.

In his opinion, the approval of the fund for the stabilization of fuel prices is urgent, because “people need it”. However, he made it clear that “this has to be the last loan to be approved in this way,” pointing out that our country must make a “change in the energy matrix.” On the point, he said that this will give Paraguay “energy independence”.

NOT ALL GONE

Finally, the President of the Deputies, Pedro Alliana, confirmed that there was no quorum to start the extraordinary session in which the bill that subsidizes the price of fuel through the creation of a fund from a loan of $100 million.

“I should have been campaigning today with Santiago Peña and I am here trying to solve these issues,” he lamented, at the time of concluding indicating that he did not understand why the legislators were in such a hurry to approve this project.
