Fluminense started their journey in the Copa Sudamericana with a 3-0 rout over Oriente Petrolero (Bolivia), this Wednesday (6th) at the Maracanã stadium. This result leaves the Laranjeiras team at the top of the Group H classification with three points.

In its first game after winning the Campeonato Carioca, the team led by coach Abel Braga made a good presentation, opening the scoring in the 29th minute of the first half, when the winger Cristiano took advantage of the rebound given by the goalkeeper Quiñónez in a kick by Ganso to score the bottom of the network.

The victory of the Laranjeiras team was consecrated in the 27th minute of the final stage, when defender Zazpe messed up with a ball crossed by Willian Bigode and sent it against his own team’s goal.
Fluminense returns to play for the competition next Wednesday (13), when they visit Junior Barranquilla in Colombia. However, before that, Tricolor das Laranjeiras will debut in the Brazilian Championship, against Santos next Saturday (9), from 16:30 (Brasilia time).
