Hugo Dellien lost in his debut at the ATP 250 in Marrakech

Hugo Dellien did not have a good debut at the ATP 250 in Marrakech,H in Morocco. The Bolivian tennis player fell this Tuesday in the first round against the Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp, seeded as the number six racket in the tournament, 3-6, 6-3 and 4-6, in two hours and 29 minutes, and was left out of the tournament.

Beniano returned to compete after 16 dayssince March 20 had been the last time he played an official match and it was in the final of the Concepción Challenger, in Chile, where he was runner-up.

But due to a shoulder injury he was forced to stop for just over two weeks and reappeared with a loss on the clay of the ATP 250 in Marrakech.

In the first set, the Tiger lost service three times and he only broke his rival’s serve once, which is why he lost 3-6, in 48 minutes of play. In the second round, our compatriot reacted and broke the Dutchman’s serve twice to win 6-3, in 52 minutes.

That result forced them to resort to a third set in which the Bolivian lost service only once and that made the difference. for it to be defeated 4-6, in 49 minutes.

Hugo Dellien, 28, it is currently ranked number 93 of the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), while Botic van de Zandschulp, is 26 years old and is on step 43 of said ranking.

The Dutchman’s rival, in the next round, will come out of the match that will be played this Wednesday by the Spaniard Bernabe Zapata and the Czech Vit Kopriva. The tournament gives out $534,555 in prize money.
