Grupo “Generación” called the case of sexual abuse “aberrant”

The group “Generación Ideas en Movimiento”, belonging to the National Party, spoke in a statement about the case of “sexual abuse”. The same happened during the party celebrations in the “Saint Francis Farm” last Saturday.

The party and events room is located in the area of ​​Paso de la Arena (West), a place chosen to celebrate the victory of the “NO” at the polls in relation to the Law of Urgent Consideration (LUC).

The party was organized by the Departmental Youth Commission of the National Party.

Given what is already known, “Generation” expressed the “repudiation” of what happened. It maintains and demands a “complete and exhaustive internal investigation, until reaching those responsible” for the fact. He gives his total “support and unconditional support to our partner.” At the same time, they demand “respect” from the party and from the entire “national political spectrum”, as well as from the “media”, advocating for the protection of their person.

He adds that they are aware of the “actions carried out by the National Party in the last few hours.” Having as a premise, “the condemnation of any act that generates violence towards women.”

Regarding the closure, he expresses that when “the internal investigation of the party is concluded and those responsible are concretely determined, we demand that the political community expel them immediately and permanently.” He ends by stating that it is necessary to “carry out exemplary measures.”
