Today 627 new cases of COVID were detected in the country, 62 in Cologne

According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 6,038 tests were carried out and 627 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.

Of the 627 new cases, 314 are from Montevideo, 80 from Canelones, 62 from Colonia, 23 from Treinta y Tres, 19 from Lavalleja, 17 from Flores, 15 from Rivera, 14 from Florida, 14 from Maldonado, 11 from San José, 8 from Cerro Largo, 8 from Rocha, 8 from Salto, 8 from Soriano, 8 from Tacuarembo, 6 from Durazno, 6 from Río Negro, 4 from Paysandú and 2 from Artigas.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 6,028,410 tests have been processed and 890,140 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 877,795 have already recovered.

Today, 3 deaths diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 were registered in our country (detailed table is attached). So far there are 7,169 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 5,176 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 38 of them are in critical care centers.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 19,923 correspond to health personnel. 19,727 of them have already recovered, 166 are suffering from the disease and 30 have died.

To date, all departments register active cases.
