National Emergency System reports 6,648 active cases of COVID-19

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), this March 31, 8,607 tests were carried out and 907 new cases of COVID-19 were detected. On the day, 3 deaths were recorded for this reason. Of the 6,648 people currently affected, 42 are in critical care facilities.

In its daily report, the National Emergency System (Sinae) indicates that, of the 907 new cases, 529 are from Montevideo, 116 from Canelones, 43 from Colonia, 32 from Maldonado, 31 from Lavalleja, 23 from Durazno, 20 from Florida. , 19 from Cerro Largo, 17 from Treinta y Tres, 12 from Tacuarembo, 10 from Flores, 10 from Paysandú, 10 from Rocha, 8 from San José, 7 from Rivera, 7 from Salto, 5 from Río Negro, 5 from Soriano and 3 of Artigas.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 6,004,145 tests have been processed and 887,935 positive cases of coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 874,128 people recovered.

Today, 3 deaths were registered after respective diagnoses of COVID-19 in Uruguay, and so far there are 7,159 deaths from this disease.

Currently, there are 6,648 active cases, that is, people suffering from the disease, 42 of them are in critical care centers.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 19,797 correspond to the health sector; 19,605 of those affected have already recovered, 162 are sick and 30 have died.
