The government’s plans are to resume the dialogue of the reform constitutionalwith or without the opposition parties, after Easter in an attempt to reach consensus on a bill to be submitted to the National Congress.
The dialogue is currently in a limbo, after the withdrawal on March 2, of the opposition parties: from the Dominican Liberation (PLD), People’s Force (FP) and Dominican Revolutionary (PRD). The political organizations announced that they would participate in the other discussions of the theme table from Transparency and Institutionalitynot so in the debates of the reform to the Magna Carta.
The discussions of the thematic table of Transparency and Institutionality, began on February 2 of this year 2022, and according to the projections, the debates would close this Saturday, April 2.
On the subject, the legal consultant of the Executive powerAntoliano Peralta, specified that a halt was made in the discussions of the reform constitutional and that he hopes will resume on April 27, after Easter.
“We convened for Wednesday the 20th, there it will not be known because there are still some regulations to discuss and see some observations of the participants to the projects, the other Wednesday, which is the 27th, when we will probably get into the matter, that is not definitive, Well, everything depends on how the previous discussion spreads, now we begin the discussion without those parties, if they are not there we will continue with civil society, with academics and with those who are,” he emphasized about the dialogue of the reform constitutional to be discussed in the table of Transparency and Institutionality that coordinates the Economic and social Council (ESC).
The thematic table works with bills: from the Contentious Administrative Jurisdiction; Buying and Hiring; from Good Governance and Conflict of Interest in the Public Sector; from Public services; from Public function; from Participation in Public Management; on State Advertising; from Free Access to Informationand of the Comptroller General of the Republic.
Also the projects of regulations of: application of the Organic Law of Public Administration, of the Law on Salary Regulation and of Sanitary Career.
