The epidemiological report of Headquarters realizes that This Saturday, 26 new positive cases of Covid-19 were registered, with which it rises to 102,667 infections so far this year in the department of Santa Cruz.
On the other hand, on the day 117 patients overcame the disease and no deaths were recorded. However, there are 38 people hospitalized in the different therapy units, of which 16 are attached to an automatic respirator.
According to the Headquarters report, 1,619 tests were carried out today, and the 26 positive cases were registered in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. There is currently a 2% positivity rate.
“Today for the first time we can say that we are in a zone of success, since the fourth wave began and we started to have less than 100 cases per day.. The average number of cases for this week is 70 infections per day,” said Carlos Hurtado, manager of Epidemiology at Headquarters.
Week with less vaccinated
In relation to vaccines, this Saturday, despite the fact that 7 vaccination points were enabled, only 812 people came to receive their immunization dose.
“This is the week with the lowest average of daily vaccinations, in the week we have vaccinated 19,000 people, with an average of 2,800 vaccinated per day. We must reflect and recommend the population to go to the points and receive the vaccine or complete the schemes,” he concluded.
