This Saturday, April 2, Petróleos del Perú SA – Petroperú notified the Superintendence of the Securities Market (SMV) of the changes in the board of directors by decision of the shareholders’ meeting as an important event.
Petroperú changes directory
The recomposition begins with the formalization of the resignation of Mario Contreras Ibárcena, who had assumed the presidency after the departure of Hugo Chávez Arévalo from the presidency.
In addition to Contreras and Chávez, Carlos Alberto Palacios Olivera and Luis Rafael Zoeger Núñez left the board.
In replacement, the shareholders appointed Humberto Campodónico as members, in addition to Carlos Edgar Vives Suárez, José Andrés Olivares Canchari, Víctor Murillo Huamán and Luis Antonio Gonzales Talledo.
According to La República, the chairmanship of the board will fall to Humberto Campodónico, who returns to the position he held between July 2011 and December 2012 during the government of Ollanta Humala.
