The authorities reported this Saturday that the lifeless body of Wilma Edith Fernández was allegedly found, the young woman who arrived from London a month ago and who had been missing since Tuesday, March 22. The body would have been found near Los Yungas, in the department of La Paz, inside a bag.
Specifically, the body was located on the old road to Coroico, in the town of Chuspipata. The Bolivian Police reported that Commander General Jhonny Aguilera is already at the scene. Authorities are expected to provide more details about the case in the next few hours.
“The priority in the investigations led us to find the lifeless body of Wilma Fernández Q. Also identifying the author of the femicide, returning justice to the family to whom we convey our condolences,” the Bolivian Police wrote on social networks.

“The Minister of Government and our Commander General will report tonight at 7:30 p.m. at a press conference, the details on the clarification of this case.”
Wilma was 39 years old and was a business administrator, a profession she managed to practice in Europe. The last time she was seen, she was on her way from the house where she was staying in Bajo Llojeta to the Bolivian Catholic University in the southern zone.
Although the time of his last connection to WhatsApp is at 3:58 p.m. on Tuesday the 22nd, on Wednesday the 23rd his brother received a message from Wilma’s phone. He told her not to worry, that for work reasons she had to return to England first, that she would contact him when she got a new number in London. Other similar messages were sent to her friends.
After hours of statements, the Prosecutor’s Office apprehended Williams V., identified as the victim’s ex-partner, on Wednesday night. He was one of the last people to come into contact with her.
