Within the framework of the operational work to dismantle micro-trafficking networks, the National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD) and members of the Public ministrycarried out 20 simultaneous operations and raids in Greater Santo Domingo, where they seized more than 13 thousand grams of cocaine, marijuana and crack.
The authorities carried out 14 operations and eight raids, where they arrested seven men and seized 4,106 grams of cocaine, 8,828 grams of marijuana, and 115 grams of crack, for a total of 13,049 grams of drugs.
In addition, three vehicles, a pistol, three knives, six cell phones, five scales, 25, 105 pesos, eight dollars, a press, scissors, communication radios, among other evidence, were seized.
The operations to combat the micro-trafficking of controlled substances were concentrated in the National District, Santo Domingo Este, specifically, Guerra, Boca Chica, Ciudad Juan Bosch and Pedro Brand, Santo Domingo Oeste.
The DNCD and the Public Ministry have intensified interdiction efforts against micro-trafficking throughout the national territory, removing thousands of grams of drugs from the streets and arresting dozens of individuals violating Law 50-88.
The detainees and the evidence seized in the operation were sent to the Public Ministry for the corresponding purposes.
