This Friday, April 1, the National Government issued resolution 539 that regulates Decree 811 of 2021 on foreign trade operations of seeds for sowing, grain, vegetable component, cannabis plant, cannabis and cannabis derivatives.

Those interested in exporting, from the national customs territory or from the free zone, and importing products related to cannabis to Colombia, must submit the application at the Single Window for Foreign Trade (VUCE)enclosing the approvals of the competent authorities.
According to the resolution, the entities that must endorse said procedure are, mainly, the Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA), the Subdirectorate for the Control and Supervision of Chemical Substances and Narcotic Drugs of the Ministry of Justice and Law, the National Institute for the Surveillance of Medicines and Food (INVIMA) and the National Narcotics Fund.
