President Jair Bolsonaro edited this Friday (1st) a decree that grants discounts on rural credit operations for funding and investment contracted by family farmers within the National Program for the Strengthening of Family Agriculture (Pronaf) and who have been harmed by drought or by drought in municipalities in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.
The benefit will be intended for small rural producers of family farming, without coverage of the Agricultural Activity Guarantee Program – Proagro or Insurance, who were affected and had losses due to drought or drought in the 2021/2022 agricultural year.
The resources for providing discounts to family farmers will come from extraordinary credit opened by provisional measure in the amount of R$ 1.2 billion.
The measure was published in an extra edition of Official Diary of the Union this Friday.
