The Institute of Financial Aid for Payment of Retirement and Military Pensions (IAF) held a ceremony at its headquarters to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Veteran’s Day and the Fallen in the Malvinas War, which was attended by ex-combatants.
It’s a statementthe organization ratified “its commitment to the cause ´Malvinas unites us´, promoted by the National Government to make visible the Argentine rights over the Malvinas Islands, South Georgia and South Sandwich, and the corresponding maritime and insular spaces”.
On the occasion, the president of the IAF, Agustín Colombo Sierra, he stressed that “paying homage to veterans and those who died in the South Atlantic conflict is an obligation of this institution that provides services precisely to the military family.”
“The way is to comply with the law. And although the slogan ‘Malvinas unites us’ effectively brings together Argentines who have that feeling, we must make that slogan have content,” he added.
For its part, the veteran commodore of the Malvinas War (VGM), Rubén Sassonepointed out that “the recognition that is reaching more and more all of us who were in the Malvinas, especially among the youth, is very important. I am proud of what our compatriots did.”
For its part, the Secretary of Malvinas, Antarctica and the South Atlantic, Guillermo Carmonasent his greetings virtually, in which he called to renew the “commitment we have with the Argentine claim on Malvinas, South Georgia, South Sandwich and the corresponding maritime spaces”.
Directors Vice Admiral Jorge Roberto González and Major Brigadier Alejandro Gabriel Amorós also participated in the act; and the executive director, Santiago Esteban.
