The Inter-American Court of Human Rights called a public hearing for this Friday, April 1 at 2:00 p.m. (Peruvian time) in order to evaluate theThe precautionary measures on the pardon of former dictator Alberto Fujimorito whom the presidential grace was returned after the ruling of the constitutional Court, that invalidates a sentence of the Supreme Court in 2018.
This hearing will serve to listen to the arguments of the lawyers of the victims of the crimes of Uptowns and the cantutaas well as to the representatives of the State before deciding whether to grant the provisional measures requested before the reactivation of the pardon of Alberto Fujimori.
The first to speak will be the victims’ lawyers. They will have 20 minutes to argue that the ruling of the Constitutional Court (TC) affects their right to access to justice by allowing the former president to leave prison before serving his 25-year sentence.

On behalf of the State, the supranational prosecutor Carlos Reaño Balarezo will participate and his deputy Carlos Llaja Villena, who are the only ones accredited before the supranational court, so they will have 20 minutes to present.
On the other hand, the Inter-American Court asked the Government of Peru not to release fujimori fujimori until the international organization can decide on the request for provisional measures “to guarantee the right of access to justice for victims of the Barrios Altos and La Cantuta cases”.
For his part, the attorney Carlos Reano confirmed that the Peruvian State will comply with the provision of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights to order our country to refrain from executing the decision to release Alberto Fujimori, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for crimes against humanity.
