The President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, participated today (1) in the graduation ceremony of sergeants of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB). The graduation of the military was authorized by the president in December of last year, when he signed a decree that changed the Regulation of the Corps of Graduated Personnel of the Air Force.

But the measure will benefit around 1,400 Air Force personnel, who will be promoted from third to second sergeant in the Special Staff of Sergeants (QESA), from all groups, such as communications, health, construction, infrastructure, guard and metallurgy, among others.
“You are part of a chain, a great link that exists between the officers and the end of the line, the soldiers. So, you are very important to us, you provide the most important services to the FAB,” Bolsonaro said.
During graduation, the Air Force Commander, Air Lieutenant Brigadier Carlos de Almeida Baptista Junior, said that the promotion was an old demand of the FAB and that the initiative gives the Air Force isonomy by giving the same treatment in force in the Navy and in the Army.
“One cannot talk about the values of an institution without referring to its most precious asset, the group formed by its human resources, those who are truly responsible for guaranteeing and defending the greatest interests of the country”, he said.
