The Municipal Law for the Protection of Public Health uses the criterion of “citizen co-responsibility” for the compulsory presentation of the vaccination card in public and private spaces, in economic, sports, academic, commercial, cultural, social activities and in public transport.
“All citizens of the municipality of La Paz are co-responsible for the resilience and/or recovery of public health, so they must contribute to the control and compliance with the provisions of this law,” says article 9.
According to the norm, the owners, legal representatives or those in charge of the administration of economic, sports, academic, commercial, cultural, social and public transport activities must require the presentation of the anticovid vaccination card from all workers who are under their dependency. and to all persons who “enter and/or use” the services.
Law 481 was prepared and sanctioned in the City Council last week and was enacted by Mayor Arias on Wednesday, and he must prepare the regulations within 10 days. On the occasion, Arias highlighted that La Paz is at the forefront in health due to the levels of anticovid vaccination that it reached in the population over 18 years of age and that it reached more than 100%.
On the other hand, in public transport, owners and operators must carry and demand the vaccination card against Covid-19.
