The total number of cases of covid-19 in Brazil since the beginning of the pandemic reached 29,947,895. In 24 hours, 31,561 positive diagnoses of the disease were confirmed. Yesterday (30)the total number of accumulated cases recorded by the secretariats and the Ministry of Health was 29,916,334.
The number of patients in follow-up is at 569,558. The term is given to designate cases reported in the last 14 days that were neither discharged nor progressed to death.
The number of lives lost to the coronavirus reached 659,757. between yesterday and today (31), 253 deaths were recorded. In the previous update, the data system totaled 659,504 deaths over the course of the pandemic.
There are still 3,098 deaths under investigation – cases in which the patient died, but the investigation of the cause demands further examinations and procedures.
Up until today, 28,718,580 people have recovered from covid-19. The number corresponds to 95.8% of those infected since the beginning of the pandemic.
States
According to the balance of the Ministry of Health, at the top of the ranking of states with the most deaths from covid-19 recorded so far are São Paulo (167,374), Rio of January (72,835), Minas Gerais (60,850), Paraná (42,933) and Rio Grande do Sul (39,049).
The states with the fewest deaths resulting from the pandemic are Acre (1,992), Amapá (2,124), Roraima (2,145), Tocantins (4,144) and Sergipe (6,317).
Vaccination
Up until today, 398.9 million doses of vaccines against covid-19 were applied, 172.8 million with the first dose and 150.8 million with the second dose, in addition to 4.7 million single doses, 67.6 million booster doses and 2.8 million additional doses.
