Alberto Fernández yesterday hung the gold medal in the Olympic pit (trap) modality of the clay pigeon shooting World Cup that takes place in Lima after beating the Italian Erminio Frasca in the tiebreaker with which the final was resolved. After them, the American Derrick Mein (20 of 25) and the Mexican Jorge Orozco (10 of 15) finished in the final. In the women’s Olympic pit, Fátima Gálvez (20 out of 25 targets) and Cristina Beltrán (18 out of 25) were third in their respective semifinals and missed out on the final.
