Both Professor Reinaldo Rueda and Carlos Queiroz, the two coaches that the Colombian National Team had during the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers, will not attend the World Cup with their respective teams.
The Colombian helmsman was disqualified by occupying sixth place in the standings with 23 points, one less than Peru, which with its favorable result against Paraguay (2-0), will now fight for the playoff by placing fifth with 24 units.

Before occupying the bench of the coffee team, Rueda was directing the Chilean National Team, which did not qualify for the orbital event either. During his time with the southern team, he was outside the group of “the five” and in the heat of the Qualifiers he left the Chilean ship to join Colombia’s aspirations of going to a World Cup.
On January 14 he assumed as DT of Colombia.
His performance was marked by an “acute empatitis” of the team that, by not adding three to direct rivals such as Peru and Uruguay, was left without a World Cup.

After the elimination, the future of Rueda in the ‘Tricolor’ is uncertain. Some believe in his process while others think that a foreign technician must be hired.

Queiroz also “failed” twice
For his part, the Portuguese strategist could not obtain a box for the World Cup under the command of Egypt, a team that has Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah as a figure.
