The sector sold abroad, in February, R$ 878.5 million in equipment, an amount 37.8% higher than that registered in the same month of 2021. In relation to January, exports were 22.3% higher. In the accumulated result for the year, January and February, foreign sales totaled R$1.59 billion, 31.7% above the same period last year.

“The machinery and equipment manufacturing sector, with an exporting tradition, recovered with the devaluation of the real part of the competitiveness annulled by the ‘Brazil cost’, and recorded significant growth in its exports”.

Latin America was the main destination for Brazilian exports of machinery and equipment in 2022, with a share of 28.5%; followed by the United States (23.2%) and Europe (17.4%).
