The Industry Confidence Index (ICI), measured by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), dropped 1.7 points from February to March this year. This was the eighth consecutive drop of the indicator, which reached 95 points on a scale of 0 to 200 points, the lowest level since July 2020 (89.8 points).
The Current Situation Index (ISA), which measures the confidence of entrepreneurs in Brazilian industry at present, dropped 1.1 points and went to 97.4 points, the lowest value since July 2020 (89.1 points).
The Expectations Index (IE), which measures industrial business confidence in the future, decreased by 2.1 points, reaching 92.8 points, the lowest level since July 2020 (90.5 points).
The Installed Capacity Utilization Level (Nuci) of the industry advanced 0.3 percentage point in March, to 80.2%.
