The abuse was discovered when the minor’s parent took her to a health center because she had a fever, chills and a cough, as a result of a picture of severe pneumonia, chronic malnutrition and acute anemia, being hospitalized for more than twenty days; time where several medical studies were carried out, the results determined that had been infected with a sexually transmitted infection. The rapist has already been imprisoned with preventive detention by justice.
The head of the Directorate for Equal Opportunities (DIO), Pastor Flores, reported that the staff of the Ombudsman for Children and Adolescents (DNA) was established in a health center in the southern area of the capital of Oruro to verify the case. of a seven-year-old girl, who was hospitalized for more than twenty days in that hospital; consequence of a very delicate health condition, but what most concerned the medical staff are the results of a series of medical studies carried out confirming that the minor was infected with a “serious” sexually transmitted disease.
We publicly thank the disposition and commitment of the district attorney, Orlando Zapata, and the prosecutor, Katerine Rojas, of the Oruro Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Sexual Violence, Trafficking in Persons, and Juvenile Criminal Justice, who ordered a direct action that was executed with great certainty, for the agents of the Criminal Investigation Directorate (DIC) of the Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc), who they managed to arrest the accused in the vicinity of the same health center and they put it at the disposal of the Public Ministry, detailed Flores.
Research
According to a preliminary DNA report, the seven-year-old victim is the youngest of three siblings and they are motherless. A DNA psychologist, in the middle of the investigation, interviewed the minor and she herself said that it was her father who abused her.

The second attack is more recent, but the minor cannot remember an exact date.
Pre-trial detention
The testimony of the victim, added to the medical-legal, psychological, social environment and other expertise, made by the prosecutor Katerine Rojas, were decisive so that in a hearing of precautionary measures a judge validated the responsibility of the 33-year-old aggressorsending him to preventive detention for a period of three months in the San Pedro de Oruro prison, while the Public Ministry collects more evidence to support the formal accusation that allows an exemplary sentence.
