Moving Sum released some of its results during 2021 and its projections for 2022.
In relation to last year, the company of Spanish origin assured that it signed eight new allied brands in Colombia: Codisert, ANTA, Más Click / Dobleclick, MasMobile / Cablem@s, Super Link, IP Tecnologies, Kalu Comunicaciones and BarackTic.
“These companies trusted Suma Móvil as a technological ‘partner’ when it came to offering mobile services to their users. They relied on our 10-year experience and expertise in Europe and Latin America, in addition to our voice, SMS and mobile data services platform, with deployment in 2G/3G/4G and now also in 5G with national coverage. The mobile service allows them to create a new line of income, retain their current subscriber base, obtain new customers, multiply the value of their companies and be more competitive”, indicates Juan Carlos Buitrago, country manager of Suma Móvil.
“These eight companies extend their services to 20,000 users throughout Colombia from La Guajira to Putumayo and from the Eastern Plains to Antioquia.”, he added.
It is worth remembering that Suma Móvil is a Virtual Mobile Operator (OMV) and, for this reason, Mario Mendiguren, the company’s Marketing Manager for Latin America, highlights the importance of MVNOs: “They help reduce the digital divide in Colombia by bringing mobile telephony services to remote and difficult-to-reach regions of the country, as we have done, for example, with Codisert in Buenaventura, with Kalu in Los Llanos or with IP Technologies in Putumayo.”.
By 2022, Suma projects a 200% growth with ten new allied brands with which, “surely, we will have 40,000 more users. These figures consolidate us as the first mobile operator platform in Colombia”.
